Now, a common thing that I see when I work with a lot of consultants and coaches is that they utilise and I used to do this in a lot of my businesses and even now.

They Use Strategy Sessions or Free Consults To Convert Clients

The power of a strategy session or free consult is incredible when done in a really value adding way and ensuring those who get on the call are a really targeted and right fit.

If you are currently doing these types of strategy session, or if you sell a high-quality service and you’re not then you definitely should be. If you’re anything like me thought, you probably find that the back and forward of trying to get people onto an appointment can be very frustrating and can lead to lost sales.

AUTOMATION TIP: Set Up a Call and Application Funnel

My biggest tip to you if you use or plan to use strategy calls as a conversion tool is to set up a call and application funnel.

The application funnel works like this.

1. Simple Interest Step
Basically, on the website, we ask people to take an initial first step, super simple, just the name and email to take the first step. We call this step one.

2. Application Form (To Weed Out The Tyre-Kickers)
Once they fill in that step, they are taken to a bigger application with more questions. The reason we do this is now we’ve got them on the database. We got a permission to start the conversation. If they take that first step and they don’t complete step two, we can email saying “Hey, did something go wrong?” “Did our system break down?” We’ve love you to have finish it.

3. Schedule a Time-Booking Directly on Your Calendar

Here is the really sexy part.

Once they fill in step two; we can send them straight to a time-booking where they can actually book directly in your calendar.

You have already chosen the times that you are available for these sessions and they can book themselves in that. They check their own calendar for a time that works with them and you will see it appear instantly into your calendar once they book in.

What we can do using OfficeAutoPilot/Ontraport and InfusionSoft is link it all up.

So that the system knows if the person booked in or not, and it then starts emailing them and SMSing them to remind them about the appointment.

This reduces no shows meaning you have actually more people show up on your free strategy session or they cancel before hand and you don’t waste your time..

Start with step one (simple info), step two (application form), and then booking straight into your appointments. Then make it even better by having it remind them to show up.
